Hyatt's headquarters is in the Chicago Loop. Their flagship Hyatt property in Chicago is the beautiful Park Hyatt Chicago, located in the northern part of the Magnificent Mile shopping area. The Park Hyatt is very expensive.
4.5 blocks away from the Park Hyatt is the Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile.

The attendant checked me in quickly and explained my Diamond benefits and proactively offered a 4pm late checkout.
The second floor also has a lounge with several computers and a restaurant-bar called (appropriately enough) Level Two.

The fourth floor has a small indoor (handicapped accessible!) pool and jacuzzi and a gym with lots of free weights, treadmills, etc.

I had booked a standard king-bed room. When I got to my room, I was surprised to find that I had been upgraded to an Executive Suite - the front desk had made no mention / fanfare about the upgrade. Underpromising and overdelivering - well done.
The suite has a large living room area (with queen-sized sofa bed) separated from the bedroom through a set of French doors.

The bed is ridiculously comfortable and I had a great night of sleep. I love the pixelated version of American Gothic, one of the headliners at the nearby Art Institute of Chicago.
Diamond members receive a coupon for a breakfast buffet at the Level Two restaurant. This is a bigger deal during the weekends; during the week, it's pretty basic but good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, oatmeal, pastries, fruits. They also have made-to-order omelets.

For someone looking to stay in the Magnificent Mile / River North area of Chicago (the main tourist drag), this hotel is an incredible value. The location is as good as the Park Hyatt and the hotel, fresh off a recent renovation, is comfortable and new.
The only downside is that the hotel is across the street from Northwestern Memorial Hospital - that means ambulances. They seem aware of the noise problem and provide earplugs, but I wish the windows were better sealed from the street noise.
